If you’ve been looking for a budget-friendly dirt bike that doesn’t compromise too much on performance, the 2025 Hengjian S6-MT250 Pro might catch your eye. With clear inspiration from the Husqvarna TE300, this new release brings modern styling and upgraded components at a fraction of the price.
But is it really a good deal? Let’s take a closer look.
First Impressions: Inspired by Husqvarna TE300
At first glance, the Hengjian S6-MT250 Pro looks very similar to the Husqvarna TE300. The frame design, plastics, and even the headlight resemble Husky’s well-known enduro models. However, this bike is available for just $2,529 on Alibaba, which is nearly one-quarter of the price of a premium KTM or Husqvarna.
Engine and Performance
The familiar Loncin DT230 Lanza engine powers the S6-MT250 Pro, but with updated engine cases and no kickstarter. Like similar bikes in this category, it’s marketed at around 40 horsepower. In reality, dyno tests usually show about 21–22 horsepower, which is more realistic.
That might sound low compared to high-end race bikes, but for beginners, weekend riders, and casual enduro enthusiasts, it’s more than enough to enjoy trails and technical riding.
Suspension and Chassis Upgrades
One of the biggest improvements on this 2025 model is in the suspension:
Front fork: upgraded with new adjustment clickers.
Rear shock: features finger-adjustable clickers, although the durability of the rebound clicker without linkage protection may be a concern.
Linkage system: similar to KTM/Husqvarna setups, but the stock skid plate does not protect the linkage, so an aftermarket upgrade is recommended.
The bike also comes with split triple clamps, giving it a more premium feel.
Brakes, Wheels, and Tires
The S6-MT250 Pro uses SZC brakes, which are strong and reliable – in some cases even better than the brakes on more established brands. The discs appear upgraded compared to older versions.
It rolls on Enduro X Series rims, known for durability. Tire sizes are:
Front: 90/90-21
Rear: 120/90-18
These sizes match standard enduro setups, so aftermarket replacements are easy to find.
Additional Features
New headlight – inspired by Husqvarna.
Upgraded foot pegs – wider for better grip.
New throttle and switchgear – start/kill switch setup like newer bikes.
Single-bolt seat design – easier to remove and compatible with optional lower seats.
Noticeable downsides are the lack of proper radiator guards – only thin plastic covers are included, and the skid plate doesn’t cover the linkage system. This might require aftermarket upgrades for riders tackling rough terrain.
Price and Value
At just $2,529, the Hengjian S6-MT250 Pro is extremely affordable. That’s less than what many riders pay for a used Japanese or European 250, and far cheaper than a new KTM or Husqvarna, which can cost four times more.
While it doesn’t have the same power or long-term race durability as premium bikes, it does offer solid reliability. For example, a similar bike using the same engine concept has run for three and a half years with zero technical issues.
Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?
The 2025 Hengjian S6-MT250 Pro could be one of the best budget dirt bikes for beginners or casual riders who want modern looks, decent suspension, and reliable performance without breaking the bank.
If you’re looking for a full race bike, you’ll probably still want a KTM, Husqvarna, or Yamaha. But if your priority is affordable fun and reliable trail riding, this bike deserves attention.
At one-quarter of the price of a Husqvarna TE300, the value is hard to ignore.
